Brackets

There are many code editors out there, which makes it quite easy to write code in mostly any language, but there is always room for more improvements. Brackets takes everything much further. The application's purpose is to streamline web and front-end development, with its smart functionality. Syntax highlighting or other features you would find in traditional code editors are trivial next to what Brackets has to offer. With its quick editing function, you can add new rules or make other modifications in a comfortable and elegant manner. For example, if you wish to change a color, you don't have to type a new code. You can simply right click the color's code and hit the quick edit option, to bring up a color selection tool immediately, on the next line. Another interesting feature is the possibility of previewing links, a code's corresponding color or other components, by simply hovering with the mouse cursor over the appropriate code.

Live HTML development is one of the application's central capabilities, which complements all the other features seamlessly. As you write your code, you can preview the results on a web browser in real time. Even the slightest modifications are pushed to your web browser instantly, without the need to save or refresh anything.

Another advantage is the fact that Brackets can be customized with extensions and skins. They are listed separately, on a tabbed window and you can install them right away, with only one click.
